According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, space and time are not separate things, they are one connected system called spacetime. Gravity doesn’t just bend space; it also affects time itself. The stronger the gravitational distortion, the slower time moves relative to an outside observer. If something were using an advanced form of gravity manipulation or “anti-gravity” propulsion, it wouldn’t just be affecting movement through space, it would also affect time because spacetime is a single connected structure. If a craft really was generating intense gravitational distortions around itself, strange temporal effects would actually be expected under known physics.
