Anomalous Mid-Infrared Thermal Signatures in the Eastern Pacific: A Geometric and Spectral Analysis of the 23SEP2021 Racetrack Pattern
This paper analyzes a series of high-confidence thermal anomalies detected by the MODIS sensor on the Aqua satellite in the Eastern Pacific Ocean (15.49°N, 116.73°W) on September 23, 2021. The detections exhibit a characteristic "racetrack" geometric pattern spanning approximately 30.2 km. Through a comparative analysis with VIIRS Day/Night Band (DNB) data and maritime AIS records, this study eliminates conventional industrial vessel hypotheses. The results suggest the pattern is a sensor-level artifact (the "bow-tie" effect) generated by a single, high-intensity, stationary mid-infrared source that remains invisible in the visible spectrum. We conclude that this event represents a massive mid-infrared Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon (UAP) operating in the abyssal waters of the Clarion-Clipperton Zone link submitted by /u/Euphoric_Pause3511 [link] [comments]
