Avi Loeb’s confusing comments: Alien Probe When It Is 3I/ATLAS, Unidentified Satellite When an orb is on Camera? 🤷🏻♂️🤔
The Mayon Volcano footage deserves a more rigorous explanation than “probably a satellite”. For context, Mayon is an active volcano in Albay province on Luzon, near Legazpi City in the Philippines. At 10:33 p.m. on 25 May 2026, cameras captured a green meteor streaking above the volcano. PHIVOLCS later determined that it disintegrated in the atmosphere rather than hitting the slopes. The interesting part is the smaller light that appears afterwards, moving upwards from roughly the same area of the frame. afarTV reportedly suggested that it was a satellite. Fine. Satellites exist. Mystery solved. Everyone go home. Except: which satellite? Or maybe "swamp gas"!! Where is the catalogue number? What was the predicted pass time, altitude and direction? Does its apparent path match the camera position and orientation? Has anyone published the calculation? A satellite is a plausible explanation, but “probably a satellite” is still only a hypothesis until somebody identifies a candidate object and shows the match. That scientific standard should apply consistently, especially when some scientists are willing to discuss exotic possibilities for distant interstellar objects while apparently treating a clearly recorded local anomaly as resolved without presenting the basic verification data. No need to call it alien. Just identify the satellite. Time: 25 May 2026, 10:33 PM PHT Location: Mayon Volcano, Albay Province, Luzon, Philippines Context: The initial bright streak was captured by the PHIVOLCS Ligñon Hill camera and confirmed by the Philippine Space Agency as a meteor entering the atmosphere. Subsequent review indicated that it disintegrated before striking the volcano. The smaller light visible shortly afterwards in the afarTV footage has been described as probably a satellite, but I have not seen a publicly identified satellite catalogue entry or published pass-data analysis matching its timing, apparent direction and the camera angle. I am posting this for discussion, not claiming that the object was alien or that it emerged from the volcano. submitted by /u/Modi_Elnadi [link] [comments]
