Brazilian UFO Archives
Brazilian UFO Archives
I commented on a post here about UFO Files, and someone suggested I do one about UAP documents from Brazil. The official and systematic release began with Ordinance No. 551/GC3, of August 9, 2010, signed by the then Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant-Brigadier Juniti Saito. This regulation stipulated that all UFO records (reports, photos, videos) made by the Air Force Command should be periodically sent to the National Archives in Rio de Janeiro for public consultation. With the entry into force of the LAI (Law 12.527/2011) in May 2012, access to documents that were still under secrecy was accelerated. In 2013, the Ministry of Defense held a historic and unprecedented meeting with ufologists to align how these requests for information would be handled by the three Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force). Today, the so-called "UFO Fund" at the National Archives is updated annually. Documents are available on Operation Prato (1977) and the Official UFO Night (1986). As the SIAN (National Archives Information System) is quite disorganized for searching, I took the trouble to gather the available files on my drive, which I created just for this purpose. They are all in Portuguese, of course! For those interested, here is the link, they are grouped by year: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1alCM5u4Ls3wWYtZG86DvyljH1PTHtP8k?usp=sharing Regarding some documents, mainly from after the year 2000, I questioned the Brazilian Air Force command about the lack of attached photos, since some accounts describe that they have photos, the answer, by email, was that they no longer had access to the photos. submitted by /u/Ancient-Structure301 [link] [comments]
