I was getting out of the car tonight (May 14th 2026 at about 10:21pm) and I looked up and saw this. It was hovering in a rough circle/square pattern. At first I thought it was a medvac heli but it didn’t lower, it didn’t move forward, it didn’t seem to do much more than just sit there. I kept staring at it trying to make sure I wasn’t losing it. I showed it to my Mom and she said she saw it too and confirmed what I suspected that it wasn’t a star. I zoomed into it as close as I could. Didn’t notice the distortion until I looked back at them. This is in the Central Kentucky region. Think Appalachia mountain area. It’s not uncommon to see medical helicopters during the night. I turned around to check everywhere else, I saw the North Star to my right. This was facing west just a bit to the north. I’ve never seen anything like this it’s really weird. I’d like to also add that it’s not uncommon to see commercial airlines over the skies where I live at night, I saw one or two far off in the opposite direction then I saw two planes that seemed to be heading towards it?
