CONTEXT: Pomona, CA. So a week ago my friend (I'll refer to as Jake) had a family gathering for a fundraiser event they were doing to fund one of their kids' soccer team or something. Jake is already there and me and our two other friends like an hour later. Jake has some family (uncles) in the front of his house just chilling and we all talk for a bit then go in to greet the rest of his fam. We end up coming back outside to chill with his uncles and then he starts telling us how he always sees weird/ unexplained phenomena in the night sky.
