For decades the clip of Ed Teller from The Lazar Tape gave the impression that Dr. Teller "would sit silently and refuse to speak" when asked about Bob Lazar, but the recently revealed extended clip of this interview in Sleeping Dog shows that this was no
Over the years, many here have seen this clip from "The Lazar Tape" when the interviewer asks Ed Teller if he knows Bob Lazar and Dr. Tellers says "I will sit silently" and the tape then pauses at that moment with no more info: https://youtu.be/4DSUC4h5eHk?si=4Jk0bQs27qpeh7B5&t=2250 The presumption was made that Ed Teller stopped talking at that point and refused to discuss Bob Lazar, potentially giving credence to the idea that, if Ed Teller refused to talk about it, then he knew implicitly who Bob Lazar was. This idea was recently reinforced in the Jesse Michels/Bob Lazar podcast: https://youtu.be/d9tdJ2SkBKQ?si=qnPw5wXlpqhAzfFg&t=1318 Bob: I mean I spoke to the guy before he went and interviewed Teller he was one of Teller students and he said you know I'm gonna bring up you to Teller and I went that would be awesome, and it would be awesome to see how fast he denies me, you know, and he did immediately…. … Jesse: … and he's clearly also denying the nuclear knowledge in the same way that he's denying his link to you which to me is such a tell that he obviously met you Bob: yeah it's really weird that he would do that But since that podcast, the documentary Sleeping Dog has come out, and the director of this documentary apparently had a longer clip of this event: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/wGzVoRZSNos Interviewer: …if I ask you on camera if you know Bob Lazar can you just say no Teller: I will sit silent can you tell me who he is? Interviewer: (explains who Bob Lazar says he is) Teller: look I don't know about this. All this sounds fine. I probably met him. I might have been. I might have said to somebody I met him and I liked him after I met you, but I I don't remember! And why should I say that on camera… The extended clip dialog can probably be interpreted in several ways both in support or against Bob Lazar. Unless he is a good actor, I personally interpret it as Dr Teller saying he genuinely doesn't remember a Bob Lazar from his past. This interpretation that Teller didn't know (or remember) Bob Lazar is reinforced by Army Colonel and Ufologist John Alexander who was friends with Dr. Teller when he allegedly asked him about Bob Lazar: The Bob Lazar Story Debated With U.S. Army Colonel & Intelligence Consultant John Alexander | #673 Alexander: I had Dr Teller over for dinner personally to talk about these topics I did ask him about Lazar and he goes "who?" I mean it's certainly not on his radar Regardless of how the extended clip is interpreted, here is my issue with this: When this segment was added to the Lazar tape (presumably by Bob Lazar or Gene Huff or both), they specifically cut this clip of Dr. Teller off in MID-SENTENCE and froze the tape, changing it from "I will sit silent can you tell me who he is?" to just "I will sit silent", giving the false impression that Dr. Teller sat silently and refused to talk about Bob Lazar instead of in reality Teller finishing the sentence with can you tell me who this guy is? To cut it so specifically at that spot is very unlikely just a coincidence. It appears to be stopped at that spot to misrepresent the interaction and subsequently promote Bob's story regarding his experiences with Ed Teller. For decades that's what it looked like …until we now have more of the conversation. If your story is true, why would you need to adjust the footage to essentially distort the perception of the conversation? Perhaps it all was just an innocent mistake, but it certainly doesn't feel that way. This is just another piece of the Bob Lazar puzzle that makes me suspicious of story's veracity. This specific event doesn’t necessarily prove or disprove anything, but when you add it to the pile of other coincidences and inconsistencies it becomes more and more challenging to believe that his story is real, at least in my opinion. submitted by /u/HeathJett [link] [comments]
