Has anyone else ever seen a light moving across the sky suddenly stop, then what looked like a greenish-blue circle open up, the object go into it, and then it just closed and disappeared?

I’ve held onto this info for over a decade. One late November night in Arizona, around 9 p.m., I was relaxing poolside facing south with my great uncle (who has since passed), enjoying a cigar and an A&W. The sky was clear—full of stars—with a few airplanes beginning their descent(much lower than my dot) toward the Phoenix airport. At one point, a fairly bright dot caught my attention moving steadily across the sky heading West. It didn’t have the usual flashing wingtip lights you’d expect from an aircraft. Curious, I tracked it for about 30–40 seconds when it suddenly stopped. About 2-3 seconds later, a greenish-blue circular opening appeared in front of it. The object moved directly into the circle, and within two seconds, the circle closed and the dot was gone. I’ve shared this story with friends and family over the years, and it always gets a strong reaction—they know I’m not someone who makes things up. I retired from Homeland and used to own a single-engine Cherokee Piper aircraft in Montana, so I’m familiar with what typical air traffic looks like. I’m not sure why I waited so long to ask about it. Maybe with all the recent documentaries and congressional hearings, it just felt like the right time to finally bring it up.
