Fall 1993, when I was about three and a half years old, I woke up in the middle of the night because someone (or something) opened the bedroom door. I was sleeping in the same room as my mother. I looked over and saw her asleep in her bed. At first I thought it was thieves, and I remember feeling terrified. But then I looked toward the doorway and saw a tall figure hovering slightly above the floor. It was cloaked, elongated, and honestly looked almost alien. I became convinced that if it realized I was human, something bad would happen. So I pulled the duvet over my head, stretched my arms and legs out, and started making stiff, robotic movements, trying to “trick” it into thinking I was some kind of machine instead of a child. Then I felt it move over my bed. The only way I can describe the feeling is like a swarm of bees, an intense vibrating energy surrounding me. At one point I felt a single hair being pulled from my head. After that, my memory cuts out. The next thing I remember is the morning after. I saw what looked like a huge orange spider-like ball crawling or rolling out from between the mattress and the bed frame. I just watched it disappear. My mother noticed nothing unusual, but I immediately told her what had happened and drew pictures of the figure.
