I tracked how much mainstream media covered the top UAP stories Reddit was discussing this week - here’s the gap
Been building a tool that measures the difference between social discussion volume and mainstream media coverage for UAP stories. Ran the numbers this week on 8 major UAP topics. Here's what I found: • Pentagon UAP Disclosure Program — 0 mainstream articles in 24h while trending heavily across r/UFOs, r/UAP, r/aliens • UAP Whistleblower Testimonies — minimal MSM coverage despite sustained community discussion • Non-Human Intelligence Evidence Claims — near-zero mainstream pickup • AARO Congressional Briefings — virtually ignored by major outlets The pattern is consistent: stories the UAP community is actively discussing are getting almost no mainstream coverage. The gap between what's trending here and what's in the news is as wide as I've ever measured it. Curious if this matches what others in the community are seeing. Has mainstream coverage of UAP topics improved or gotten worse in your experience over the past year? With Aliens.gov almost live (apparently), I assume media coverage will increase? submitted by /u/kdbmtl [link] [comments]
