Is the right-leaning monopoly on the UAP topic a red flag, or is it just a voter influence tactic?
Since this subreddit blocks the "M-word," I’ll just get straight to the point: it seems like the UAP topic has been aggressively adopted by right-leaning politicians, podcasters, and conservative media outlets. When you scroll through UAP threads on X (formerly Twitter), it is predominantly right-leaning voices leading the charge. Does this raise a red flag for anyone else? Is this just another cash grab and voter influence tactic, or do you think these politicians are genuinely trying to get to the truth? I also can't help but wonder if there is a hidden agenda to frame the UAP phenomenon as something strictly demonic or malevolent. Look at the media circuit and the specific narratives being pushed lately: Rep. Tim Burchett has heavily leaned into the "underwater entities" narrative while heavily filtering it through a protective Christian lens. He has been taking this message everywhere, appearing on George Santos’s Doing Time podcast, a Hannity special on Fox News, and the conservative podcast Ruthless. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna is aggressively pushing the "severe national security threat" narrative. On The Joe Rogan Experience, she heavily pushed a "bad alien" narrative, introducing multidimensional concepts and linking entities to religious texts like the apocryphal Book of Enoch. Rep. Eric Burlison has also been following this religious/malevolent angle, bringing his perspective to conservative outlets like OAN. The Media Circuit: David Grusch recently appeared with Bret Baier on Fox News, and the topic was heavily discussed on The Megyn Kelly Show with Walter Kirn. Aside from NewsNation, which seems to be the only relatively centrist network consistently covering this, the mainstream narrative is overwhelmingly dominated by the right. What are your thoughts? Are Republicans being genuine about disclosure, or is the "demonic/threat" framing setting up a specific political or religious agenda? There are other official members on the UAP caucus, like Rep. Jared --- so why isn't he out on a media blitz pushing these same narratives? There are also numerous unofficial caucus members, yet it seems only the three aforementioned Republicans are on this intense media run to push these specific angles. Does anyone else find this strange, or does it raise a red flag for you too? submitted by /u/Zestyclose_Log5155 [link] [comments]
