I've started to write this many times but I don't even know how to put it all into words. Update to say: I live in Washington state, USA Just a week and a half ago I saw a huge green "fireball" flying southeast at dusk before it was even dark. I'm an avid perseids meteor shower fan and sleep outside every August to watch shooting stars so I knew this was definitely NOT a regular shooting star. The next morning I figured there would be some kind of post about it so I searched and couldn't find anything, but it resulted in me stumbling upon https://nuforc.org/ where you can see a very organized list of reported UFO sightings across multiple decades. I started having so much fun with this! I scrolled through endless sightings until I got the idea to search my birthdate but being born in 1990 I didn't expect much. When I scrolled to the day I was born I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. On the exact day I was born, there was a massive UFO sighting in my exact rural town. In 1990 the population was 1,961 people. I am still in disbelief about this but that's not even the point of this post. I've always believed in extraterrestrial life and even saw a UFO when I was about 10, my mom and sister remember it the same as I do. We were half a mile from home when my mom stopped the car so we could watch it. It was a stereotypical "flying saucer" with round lights all around it, it started out high in the sky then dropped something white from it which fell out of sight and then the craft descended slowly towards us flying RIGHT above our car. We weren't scared we were just in pure awe. Again that's not even what this post is about. But all to the point of my post, I am wondering if anyone remembers ANYTHING peculiar about late night May 17/very early hours of May 18, 2021? I lived alone at the time (Washington state) but I lived across the street from my grandparents (by across the street though I mean 5 acres between us, think rural). My parents lived 1 mile down the road. I think it was past midnight so likely into May 18 but I was still awake and suddenly it sounded and felt like a train was crashing through my house. The sound was so loud and everything was rattling. My power immediately went out. A few moments later I FREAKED OUT thinking the most severe wind storm I'd ever experienced was happening. I called my mom (who remember lived 1 mile away...) and she groggily answered and I said something along the lines of "CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS STORM?! IS YOUR POWER OUT?!" and she was just like ".....what? What are you talking about? Yes the power is on" I said "you didn't HEAR THAT WIND JUST NOW?" she was very obviously annoyed I'd woken her up and had no idea what I was talking about. So I just ended the phone call and wondered how the hell she slept through it. I stepped out on the porch and looked across the fields and could see my grandparents still had power but I guess I didn't really think much of it. Not long after I heard the PUD trucks show up to fix my power lines that had come down, which was SHOCKING because they never prioritize our area over the urban spots with housing developments so repairs are usually delayed a day or two. I slept like shit but just brushed it all off and the next day when I went outside I couldn't believe my eyes. In a perfect horizontal line was a debris trail of the tops of two massive cottonwood trees and huge branches that landed in my field, in my garden, destroyed my greenhouse, went up on top of my shed, and then beyond that into my driveway. This was a huge area and again I can't stress enough that it was in a perfect horizontal line. I called my mom figuring she'd have damage too and again she had no idea what I was talking about, I described to her what happened and she drove down immediately and could not believe she didn't hear anything and they didn't have any trees/branches down. I called my grandpa to tell him the fences were down and asked if he heard anything last night. He said no and sounded skeptical but got in his truck and came over. He is in his 80s and very pragmatic and was just walking around quietly looking at everything. I finally asked him "what do you think happened?!" He took a while then finally said "I can't imagine what could have done this, other than a tornado came down right here?" He said it knowing it sounded crazy. There has never been a tornado here and even with global warming and climate change, we are absolutely not there yet. I figured he was right though and for YEARS have searched that date, my area, and "tornado" to see if anything has ever come up but there's never been a single mention of ANYTHING, EVER. I was talking with my sister recently about how weird that freak tornado was and she said "or crash landing..." And something just clicked. Why tf didn't I ever think of that?! I legitimately think it was a UFO either crashing or flying too low. So, I want to know if ANYONE recalls seeing anything strange late May 17/early May 18 2021? Specifically the West Coast but shit just anything UFO related. I cannot get all of these things out of my head!
