[Mod Approved] Ontological Shock caught on camera? OSINT confirms Area 51 suspect was a legitimate Redstone/NASA contractor
(Note: Thanks to the mod team for reviewing and greenlighting this arguments so we can discuss the bureaucratic anomalies and security protocols captured in this footage) The Footage: Recently, the Explore With Us YouTube channel posted a bodycam video of an incident at the Area 51 gate at 02:30 AM. Cop's Bodycam Reveals What's Behind Area 51's Gates A quick disclaimer before watching: The video is heavily edited for a "True Crime" audience with sensationalized music. I suggest ignoring the editing and focusing strictly on the raw interactions between the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), the Camo Dudes, and the Air Force OSI agent on the phone. The Bureaucratic Anomaly Let's forget for a second about the claims the suspect ("Nathan") is making and focus purely on federal law. If a random person anywhere flashes fake federal IDs, it is a severe federal felony (18 U.S.C. ยง 912) resulting in immediate arrest. Doing it at the gates of Area 51 at 02:30 AM is exponentially worse. Yet, the base security and the OSI agent actively pushed for a simple local trespass citation. Furthermore, at the end of the video, the deputy returns his driver's license but private security confiscates his contractor badges, telling him: "Here is a phone number to get your stuff back." You don't give a counterfeiter a phone number to retrieve fake federal IDs. This detail heavily suggests the credentials were real OSINT on the suspect corroborates this scenario. Information gathered by users (with a shoutout to some great digging in r/Area51) provides some really interesting sidenotes about his actual job: Nathan LinkedIn As per that thread also: It's highly probable that he has had contracts with Redstone Arsenal and NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, which both occupy the same complex near Huntsville, Alabama. That would explain the ID badges. Also another user details: Teledyne Brown (which the subtitles jack up in the video) is in Huntsville and so is Redstone Arsenal. The guy mentions NASA which Marshall SpaceFlight Center is also in Huntsville. It would make sense that the guy would have a badge for Teledyne and Redstone, as likely Teledyne has Articles on Redstone either for either Manufacturing, Integration or Testing. Teledyne does some cool stuff in Huntsville for many government entities. The only part that doesn't fit that narrative is thr Huntsville Hospital badge. But that may lend credence to the LinkedIn post to him being an asbestos remediation tech, since Redstone is a very old facility and some building being very, very old. Side note a C17 landed at Redstone direct from Edwards yesterday, which is not typical Being an Asbestos and Mold Remediation Specialist perfectly explains the NASA and Redstone Arsenal badges. Workers in this field require high-level clearances to access the restricted subterranean areas of military installations. The Conclusion: Bypassing Discovery When you put the puzzle pieces together, this isn't a video of a random internet troll. It's a documented, on-camera instance of an actual aerospace/defense contractor who likely suffered a severe ontological shock or mental break. There is also the scenario where his credentials are in fact real and he's gone completely insane with no reason. Judging on his body language and attitude on interacting with the officer he is telling the truth very calmly being confident and convincing. The oddest part for me is watching the federal security apparatus actively work to keep him out of the public court system. A formal arrest means federal court, a public defender, and his credentials entering public evidence (the Discovery process). By using a local citation, OSI made the incident go away quietly. I'm also open to a nothing burger conclusion (he's in fact a technician with the proper credentials but lost his mind and talked nonsense. Therefore all the authorities on the scene acted negligently because of some reason) but I think this is worth of collective investigation. Sidenote on Jurisdiction: Also pertinent to this investigation regarding the friction between the deputy and private security, and the fact that "camo dudes" also work at Nellis: ๐ https://www.acquisition.gov/dfars/237.102-70-prohibition-contracting-firefighting-or-security-guard-functions submitted by /u/Oxigensudak [link] [comments]
