Open Letter to Dr. Craig
Open Letter to Dr. Craig
To whoever is concerned, I’ve penned an open letter to Dr. Craig’s Reasonable Faith website (one of the leading thought leaders in the world of Christian philosophy/theology), asking that he please break the silence from Protestant academia on the matter of the ever-escalating UFO revelations from government insiders. If anyone is interested, you can do the same (feel free to copy/paste my own, if that’s easier [down below]) through the below “Question of the Week” submission site: https://www.reasonablefaith.org/writings/question-answer/submit-question “Hello, Dr. Craig! Now that you’ve broached the topic of aliens with the recent posting of your “Are There Aliens?” Ivy League lecture (and subsequent panel discussion), could you please opine on the elephant (what I now refer to as the BEAR) in the room — the ever-escalating allegations by supposed government-insiders (Grusch, Mellon, Davis, Nell, Rounds, Burchett, Luna, Burlison, etc.)? These allegations span YEARS of congressional hearings, the release of a chart-topping, Senate-approved documentary (Age of Disclosure), presidential comments (from Trump, Obama, and Vance), as well as an upcoming Spielberg film (Disclosure Day). At this point, I consider Christian academia’s lack of comment on this issue to be an abject FAILURE to the Christian community. If there’s anything to this (and I do believe there is), we need ALL HANDS ON DECK. I’ve been following this very closely since 2023, and though some folks have stuck their heads over the parapet (such as legitimate Catholic representation at the Sol symposium events), there has been a deafening SILENCE from the world of Protestant academia. We’ve got folks like Dr. Ross and Timothy Alberino offering some interesting models, but honestly, we’re going to need more than that. Analytic thinking from the Christian world is seriously lacking, and many Christians who’ve dove into the topic aren’t consulting primary sources from the field of ufology — only second/third-hand sources; certain Christian spokespeople who like to cherry pick the evidence of ufology, in a manner that caters to the Christian worldview, versus confronting the particularly DIFFICULT material, which needs to be dealt with head-on. I am very alarmed by these unfoldings, and I would greatly appreciate your thought leadership on this matter. Evidenced by the fact that you were on that Ivy League panel, I think you have EXACTLY the expertise to at least comment on it. Could you please offer some guidance on all this?” submitted by /u/HunterLewis0926 [link] [comments]
