As the algorithm/admins don't like posts without a location, I'll say I'm in Dearne Valley, South Yorkshire. But the post is more for advice. A couple of weeks ago I saw a flashing blue/purple light kind of bouncing in the sky, and because I'm new to this, and cannot distinguish prosaic phenomenon from UAP, thought I'd download a flight tracker app. I've used it in the day with nothing exciting showing. Tonight has been the first night Its been clear and warm enough to sit out for a while, and I've seen multiple star-like objects flying across the sky (at least 10) and NOT showing on the flight tracker app. They literally looked like stars but moving along the sky, none of the "observables" noted. They were not flashing like most airplane lights do (in my limited experience). And, I understand that military planes may not show on the app, but every single time I've seen one during the day , it has identified itself. How do I distinguished the difference? This was a time period from about 8.15 to 845pm tonight. Unfortunately none of them videoed well, but I will try adjusting my phone next time, if you think there's a point in doing so.
