She is the author of the New York Times bestseller UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go On the Record (Crown, 2010) and Surviving Death: A Journalist Investigates Evidence for an Afterlife (Crown, 2017), which was the basis for a 2021 documentary series on Netflix. Her over two decades of investigation and mainstream coverage of UFOs were profiled in The New Yorker in 2021. Leslie and reporter Ralph Blumenthal contributed a series of articles to The New York Times on UFOs/UAPs, beginning with a 2017, game-changing front page story about a secret Pentagon UFO program.
