LOCATION: SPIJKENISSE, THE NETHERLANDS 2020 This one happened years ago and it has stuck with me ever since. It was the middle of the night, sometime around 1 to 2 AM back in 2020, at my place in Spijkenisse, Netherlands. I was at the window when a golden object showed up in the distance. It came straight toward me, completely silent the whole time. It passed right over the house, glowing like it was on fire, and then drifted off toward my brother's side of town. The thing that still gets me is how it moved. It held steady, level flight at roughly helicopter altitude with no visible wings, rotors or exhaust, and it made no sound at any point. It kept a constant line and a constant speed across the whole pass. No engine noise, no rotor wash, nothing. That silent, controlled movement with no obvious means of lift is the part I cannot explain. The next day my brother told me he had seen it too. He had been out night fishing a few kilometres away and had no idea I had seen anything. Before anyone asks, it was not drifting like a sky lantern.
