Time: August 23, 1964 1am Location: Tacoma, WA 1/2 mile east of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge In 1964, in Tacoma WA, by the Narrows Bridge, my mother, 16, experienced an event. It was 1am and she woke up startl3d by a bright purple light in her room and a high pitched vibration coming from her west facing bedroom windows. She sat up in bed and her dog ran off the bed and out of the room. The next thing she remembers, it was dawn. About 5 house had passed. Her mechanical clock was stopped at 1am but she says she remembers winding it up before going to bed that night. She was scared and went downstairs and slept on the sofa. Within the next week, she remembers reading, in the Tacoma News Tribune, on August 30th 1964, 300 young men reported seeing a UFO near the McCord Air Force Base.
