Team assessment of PURSUE Release 01/02: source control, citation hygiene, and open record questions
Team assessment of PURSUE Release 01/02: source control, citation hygiene, and open record questions
Disclosure: I work on VRAI's UAP source-control / evidence-literacy project. This is a team assessment of public PURSUE records, not event validation, object identity, origin, performance, authenticity, suppression, completeness, or agency endorsement. Short version: PURSUE Release 01 is most useful as a source-control baseline: inventory, public-source crosswalks, OCR/NARA/FBI/NASA/State provenance questions, and limits on what public records can support. PURSUE Release 02 is more about live-record hygiene. The active War.gov UAP CSV is cumulative at 222 rows; the May 22 subset is 64 rows: 51 video, 7 audio, and 6 PDF. The 51 video rows carry chain-of-custody / informational-use caveats, so I would cite the public videos as public release renditions, not native/source-device files. Narrow R02 items still worth tracking: DOE-UAP-D001/Pantex appears as pages 5-6 of a six-page sequence; pages 1-4 were not recovered in our public official-route pass. PR057a/PR057b share public DVIDS ID 1007720; the public DVIDS/AARO note frames this as duplicate media with different uploader-defined titles. Archived CSV captures preserve a May 20 158-row state and May 22/23 222-row states; PR062 wording changed between the May 22 and May 23 captures. I would treat that as citation versioning only. Useful question: has anyone seen official correction notes, bundle manifests, source-chain records, or archived CSVs that clarify Release 01 lineage, the Pantex page sequence, PR057 mapping, or PR062 wording?
