The Connection Between Psychotronics and UFOs
The Connection Between Psychotronics and UFOs
The term psychotronics has been making the rounds recently. Many in the UFO research field are likely familiar with the phrase psychotronic weapons; particularly in connection with UFO abduction literature. In this context the term denotes technologies which target the nervous system with the intent of producing mind altering effects on human beings. The now famous Havana Syndrome is similar, is in a similar class of technologies which fall under the broader umbrellas of Non-Lethal and Directed Energy Weapons. However, the term psychotronics has also been used by some in the UFO sphere, most notably those with ties to the US national security apparatus, such as retired US Army Colonel John B. Alexander, and DIA employee James T. Lacatski, to denote the weaponization of alleged psychic abilities, such as PK or psychokinesis. Nevertheless, the true history of psychotronics, originally known as psycho-electronics, paints a different picture, one which potentially has extraordinary implications regarding UFO close encounter and abduction cases. Excerpts from The Controllers, by Martin Cannon When MKULTRA "leaked" to the public during the great CIA investigations of the 1970s, public attention focused most heavily on drug experimentation and the work with ESP. Mystery still shrouds another area of study, the area which seems to have most interested ORD: psychoelectronics. This research may prove key to our understanding of the UFO abduction phenomenon. Over the years, certain journalists have asserted that the CIA has mastered a technology called RHIC- EDOM. RHIC means "Radio Hypnotic Intracerebral Control." EDOM stands for "Electronic Dissolution of Memory." Together, these techniques can – allegedly – remotely induce hypnotic trance, deliver suggestions to the subject, and erase all memory for both the instruction period and the act which the subject is asked to perform. EDOM is nothing more than missing time itself – the erasure of memory from consciousness through the blockage of synaptic transmission in certain areas of the brain. By jamming the brain's synapses through a surfeit of acetocholine, neural transmission along selected pathways can be effectively stilled. According to the proponents of RHIC-EDOM, acetocholine production can be affected by electromagnetic means. (Modern research in the psycho-physiological effects of microwaves confirm this proposition.) If RHIC-EDOM exists, it goes a long way toward providing an earthbound rationale for alien abductions – or, at least, certain aspects of them. The phenomenon of "missing time" is no longer mysterious. Abductee implants, both intracerebral and otherwise, are explained. And note the reference to "recurring hypnotic state, reinduced automatically by the same radio command." This situation may account for "repeater" abductees who, after their initial encounter, have regular sessions of "missing time" and abduction – even while a bed-mate sleeps undisturbed. Excerpts from article titled UFOs Demystified: The Paranormal Syndrome During a study undertaken at UCLA’s Reed Neurological Research Center in 1978 on electromagnetic stimulation of the temporal lobe of the brain, individuals reported such effects as hot and cold sensations, disorientation regarding time and place, temporary amnesia, and seeing colored balls and flashes of light. A different study, this time on the effects of low-level magnetic fields, also produced incredibly relevant effects. Subjects reported sensations of floating and weightlessness, and a sense of presence; one individual was quoted as saying “I feel something in here with me”. There were also visual effects reported such as seeing mechanical objects rotating, and birds flying around the room. Some of these effects are similar to the symptoms of physiological states such as of sleep paralysis, and all of them are remarkably similar to what has been described in paranormal encounters especially those of the UFO variety. Professor of psychology Michael Persinger studied the effects of electromagnetism on biological organisms for decades; with a particular interest in effects on the human nervous system. He discovered that electromagnetic energy could induce altered states of consciousness, and produce mystical/religious experiences in individuals under the correct circumstances; some even in the category of auditory, and visual hallucinations. He is probably most well-known for a device called the God Helmet, which targeted specific areas of the brain with fairly weak EM fields. Many of the people who wore the device during testing reported precisely these kinds of effects. Persinger even conducted tests during which religious imagery was displayed in the room, and in other instances images of outer space were used. The results were extraordinary; in each case a number of percipients described experiences which directly correlated with the imagery on display during that particular session. The famous scientist Nikola Tesla conducted research on various potential uses of electromagnetic forces, and the effects already discussed could be potential explanations for some of his more incredible claims. For instance, in his 1897 notes concerning various experiments which he had undertaken at his Colorado Springs laboratory, he described the production of luminous “fireballs”; essentially artificial ball lightning. If such a thing could be successfully accomplished, then real-life UFO encounters could be staged, and by utilizing some of the effects which EM fields can have on the nervous system, paranormal experiences could be artificially induced. It may be relevant that upon Tesla’s death in 1943, his surviving documents and records were confiscated by the FBI. Interestingly, some of this material has still not seen the light of day after all these years. According to allied intelligence documents produced near the close of the Second World War, research and development had been carried out by the Germans on electromagnetic weapons, likely for the purpose of disabling enemy aircraft in flight. One potential device which was believed to have been developed was described in the reports as a magnetic wave weapon. The objects known as foo fighters, which were believed to be German weapons as well, did seem to exhibit some EM effects; for in many reports, electrical systems in planes temporarily went haywire when the objects were near them. Is it possible that the Germans may have inadvertently discovered other effects such devices could produce, effects not on machines, but on human beings? In any case, research on mind-altering devices utilizing electromagnetic forces appears to have kicked off in earnest during the early Cold War era. It was a dream of certain elements in the national security apparatus of the United States, most notably the CIA, to develop working methods of controlling individuals irrespective of their will. In laymen’s terms: mind control. The most well-known methods that were experimented with concerned drugs, hypnosis, deprivation, and electric stimulation of the brain via electrodes and implanted devices. However, according to information which would come out decades later, another method was also researched; and it was allegedly of extreme interest both before and after the infamous project MKULTRA was officially shut down. It was termed psycho-electronics; and this was, and likely still is, a matter of extreme secrecy. Psycho-electronic weapons are devices which by utilizing electromagnetic energy, can affect the nervous system remotely, without the need for implantation. The truth is that not much is definitively known about these kinds of weapons, in fact, there is such secrecy surrounding this subject that when many of the sordid details concerning MKULTRA were revealed to the public during the 1970s, the specifics on psycho-electronics could not even be accessed because they resided in the world of highly classified projects; and this is almost certainly still the case. Nevertheless, there is much that can be inferred by looking to adjacent projects such as MKULTRA, and by examining particular UFO close encounter reports. There are, in fact, numerous UFO cases which have the hallmarks of a covert operation, and some of these contain certain clues that psycho-electronics may have been involved. One of the most famous cases ever recorded, the “abduction” of Betty and Barney Hill, may have been just such an example of this electronic mind manipulation. After the Hill’s experience it was discovered that their car had been tampered with. Two spots were found where it appeared as if something had been affixed to the vehicle and subsequently removed. The Hill’s reported that they could think of no explanation for these marks. They also experienced a sudden-onset blank-out state after hearing strange noises while driving. When they regained consciousness, they had no memory of traveling the distance they had. It is possible that such phenomena could occur spontaneously, however, given the circumstances surrounding their experience as a whole, human interference seems likely. Another suspicious case was the 1959 UFO encounter described by Gerry Irwin. Irwin was a US Army private who while driving through a sparsely populated area of Utah, witnesses a luminous object streak across the sky and land in a wooded area some distance away. Concerned that he may have just witnessed the crash of an aircraft, he parked his car on the side of the road and took off on foot in the direction of the “crash”. When he had travelled a certain distance he suddenly remembered no more. He too experienced a sudden-onset blank-out. What followed was a veritable whirlwind of suspicious activity on the part of the US Army; activity extremely similar to what we now know regarding mind control research projects. The sudden-onset blank-out experience seems to be a common theme in particularly suspect UFO encounters, and the luminous objects which were seen by Irwin and the Hill’s could have either been artificially produced light-forms (similar to what can occur spontaneously via certain EM effects), or aircraft equipped with an EM (psycho-electronic) weapon. Perhaps one of the most revealing cases ever reported suggesting the use of such devices on an unwitting individual is the case of a woman named Alison from the US state of Arizona... Alison reported that she had been “abducted” multiple times during adulthood by UFO occupants. One of her experiences however, differs from the others in a crucial way. Prior to her abductions, she recounted that the electricity in her home often would go out, then she would hear a low humming noise coming from outside. In this particular encounter though, this humming sound abruptly ceased shortly after it began. …when the sound stopped she began to regain mental clarity and observed a shocking sight. Standing in front of her in the middle of her home were multiple men wearing black combat fatigues. One of the men raised his hand as if signaling her to stay where she was, while she reported that another one asked “what happened?”. The men backed away and hurriedly exited through the front door. Alison made her way to the window where she saw them climb aboard an unmarked black helicopter that was equipped with a large spotlight. The aircraft promptly ascended and flew away. These activities relating to psycho-electronics essentially represent the weaponization of paranormal phenomena. In fact, this is even a phrase which has been used by some who have a background in non-lethal weapons research, a broader category which psycho-electronics almost certainly falls under. Herein lies one of the biggest secrets hidden amongst all of the noise which clutters the UFO subject. Seemingly inexplicable experiences have been affecting human beings for millennia. These did and still do spontaneously occur under the correct circumstances, and send the percipients on a veritable voyage into inner space. In the modern post-WWII world, the mechanisms (along with much of the imagery involved) behind these experiences have been co-opted and exploited by govt. agencies; and mind-altering weapons systems have been developed to essentially recreate the forces which can induce altered states of consciousness and produce these phenomena. https://open.substack.com/pub/theprometheanflame/p/ufos-demystified-the-paranormal-syndrome?r=57dssq&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web 1980 article written by John B.
