The Fourth Kind film used the words Non-Human Intelligences in 2009
My family and I just watched The Fourth Kind this weekend. I had seen the film back when it first came out in theaters, but my brother had never seen it, so we revisited it. When I first saw the film upon its release, I didn't really like it and felt that it was hokey and stupid, especially in the way it was framed as a mockumentary. On rewatch, it was actually pretty haunting. What caught my attention though, is at the very end of the film, before the credits, when it's rolling captions that end the story, the words Non-Human Intelligences was used to describe the aliens in the film, rather than extraterrestrials... I have been into this subject for decades and in my memory, this term was not used UNTIL the very recent past... Questionably, The Fourth Kind is the ONLY film that is not on any streaming service whatsoever and hasn't been, to my memory, ever...at least not in the past few years. In 2009, was the term Non-Human Intelligences or NHI even in the popular lexicon, the way it is now? I sure as shit don't remember it being used at that time, or ever, up until the switch from UFO to UAP... Am I wrong? Does anyone else find this as weird as I do? submitted by /u/xemeraldxinxthexskyx [link] [comments]
