Two PURSUE releases: valuable records access, no proof upgrade yet
Disclosure: I work on a UAP source-control / evidence-literacy project. This is a public-records note, not event validation, object identity, origin, performance, authenticity, suppression, completeness, or agency endorsement. Short version: after two PURSUE tranches, I think the story is useful records access and live source-control problems, not a proof upgrade. Release 01 is useful because it gives a baseline for public inventory, OCR/crosswalk work, DVIDS/media pairings, archive comparisons, and claim boundaries. Release 02 is useful because it shows what needs to improve. The active War.gov CSV is cumulative at 222 rows; the May 22 subset is 64 rows: 51 video, 7 audio, and 6 PDF. All 51 video rows carry chain-of-custody / informational-use caveats, so I would cite those public videos as public release renditions rather than native/source-device files. Open records questions that still matter: PR057a/PR057b share DVIDS ID 1007720, with a public duplicate-title explanation. DOE-UAP-D001/Pantex appears as pages 5-6 of 6; pages 1-4 were not recovered in the public official-route pass. Archived CSVs show the active feed moving from 158 rows on May 20 to 222 rows on May 22/23, and PR062 wording changed between May 22 and May 23. What I think the President and administration should do for the next tranche: publish a public evidence-control addendum with a versioned manifest, checksums, correction log, document page-completeness notes, media provenance labels, safe metadata, and a public correction owner for metadata conflicts. That would help everyone cite the records without turning partial files, duplicate IDs, wording drift, or caveated public media into claims they do not support.
