UAPs off Departure End of RWY 8R at PHNL
Time: November 10, 2023 6:41 PM Location: Kakaáku Waterfront Park, Honolulu, HI A few years ago, my 3-year old grandson and I were walking at the Kaka'aku Waterfront Park. The park is located about 2.5 miles from the departure end of RWY 8R at Honolulu Intl Airport. Prior to seeing the three UAPs, we were watching a constant flow of airliners taking off. I then saw three lights emerge from the ocean between us and the runway. Simultaneously, all traffic flow from Honolulu seized. Once I realized I might be watching something pretty cool, I grabbed my iPhone and started filming. The UAPs made no noise... they just kind of hovered off the end of the runway for a few minutes and then departed to the south. For the next 15 minutes or so, there were no aircraft departures. The only conclusion I could think of was these UAPs caught the tower operators off guard as well and they gave them a wide birth before resuming aircraft departures. I'm a retired military pilot with 35 years of world-wide flying experience. I've never seen anything like this. No noise, no pattern. They just rose from the ocean, hovered for a few minutes and then headed off. submitted by /u/Wonderful-Fault-4866 [link] [comments]
