war.gov/ufo Release 01, reorganized — 119 declassified PDFs, 14 photos, 28 DVIDS clips in one searchable page
The Department of War published the first tranche of declassified UAP/UFO records today at https://www.war.gov/ufo. The official page is fine but the 161-row file table is a JavaScript grid that's awkward to scan, and the video assets live separately on DVIDS rather than alongside the documents. I rebuilt it as a clean, browsable three-tab archive — every link points back to the originals on war.gov and dvidshub.net. Nothing is rehosted; I'm just providing a better index on top of the public files. Mirror: https://war-gov-ufo-release-1.vercel.app What's in it: PDFs (119) — each card has a thumbnail, agency tag, incident date and location, the official description blurb, and a link to the original PDF on war.gov. Images (14) — full gallery with a click-to-enlarge lightbox and the FBI's full narrative description under each one. Videos (28) — DVIDS posters with embedded players; click any thumbnail to play the clip in a lightbox without leaving the page. Search and filter across title, agency, incident date, location, and the summary text. Filterable by agency (FBI, NASA, Department of War, Department of State). The whole thing is vanilla HTML/CSS/JS — no framework, no tracking, no analytics. I'm currently running OCR on the ~60 scanned FBI case files and will replace the boilerplate description blurbs with real content-derived summaries once it finishes (probably tonight). Will update the post when that's done. Not affiliated with the government, AARO, or any UAP organization — just thought a usable day-one index would be useful while everyone digs through the files. submitted by /u/MidnightRaptor_6G [link] [comments]
