What do you think?
For years, I’ve had the feeling that governments know far more about extraterrestrial life than they admit publicly. At this point, I personally believe contact between certain world governments and non-human intelligences may have existed for a very long time. And honestly, one thing keeps bothering me: If extraterrestrials truly wanted to wipe us out, why haven’t they done it already? People talk constantly about an “alien threat,” but any civilization capable of crossing interstellar distances would likely be thousands or millions of years more advanced than us. If destruction was the goal, humanity probably wouldn’t even have had a chance to react. That’s why I sometimes wonder whether the real danger might not come from extraterrestrials themselves… but from governments using the idea of an alien threat for control, fear, militarization, or even population reduction. Look at history: Governments have repeatedly used fear to justify wars, surveillance, secrecy, and massive military expansion. Then there are stories like British hacker Gary McKinnon claiming he found references to “non-terrestrial officers” while accessing U.S. systems. Or the famous quote attributed to Lockheed Skunk Works director Ben Rich: “We already have the means to travel among the stars.” Real quote or not, it raises interesting questions. How much technology is hidden from the public? How far ahead are black military projects? And what if some of the “UFO phenomenon” is actually human technology developed in secret decades ago? I’m not claiming I know the truth. I’m saying I don’t believe we’re being told the full story. Curious to hear what others think. submitted by /u/RickSuperGamer [link] [comments]
