In a wider sense, what would the existence of alien life mean for all of us? You know, the loop of life and death and all that, what would it mean in some sort of metaphysical and/or existential sense? Could it imply there being some sort of life after death? some greater meaning to our existence? I see a lot the UFO discourse focusing on the "the government is lying to us" part or some "ultimate conspiracy theory" part, but very little theorizing about what it could imply about our own existence on this planet, the very sense of our lives etc. What is your take on the matter?
