I watch UFO videos...a lot of UFO videos. I've been interested in the topic since my first episode of the X-Files back in the 90s. I got into the lore on a 56K dialup modem and even cracked a few of the mainstream books: Stanton Friedman's "Crash at Corona" and John Mack's "Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens." As I recall, the early 2000s had a few decent UFO documentary series that kept my interest. However, with the advent of independent content creators and researchers on YouTube, I really got interested.
Now there are so many channels, podcasts, blogs and social media threads that it's difficult to keep up. As a technical, camera-shy person, I feel compelled to contribute something to the community. My goal is to create a curated dashboard for anomalous news that makes it easy to search, filter and find more of the content you're interested in. Along the way, I hope to publish some of my own research as time permits.
Why Such Diverse Categories?
Looking at the site, you might wonder why there's such a wide range of categories. It certainly reflects my evolving interests. As many old school researchers like Richard Dolan, and other YouTube creators have noted, people often start off with nuts-and-bolts craft, veer off the well-trod path with NHI, get lost in the wilderness of cryptids, and end up assessing the veracity of contact claims by their degree of High Strangeness. Is it all related to consciousness? Are we dealing with interdimensional explorers projecting into our corner of reality? Are MIBs military silencers, extraterrestrial enforcers or something far stranger? I don't know but I hope someday we'll discover the answers.
"Disclosure", "Soft Disclosure", "Catastrophic Disclosure"...are we there yet? Will we ever get there? I used to think governments would finally fess up and give the people the answers they deserve. I thought, if we just get enough signatures or votes they would finally reveal the truth. I've taken inspiration from Kelly Chase, Jacques Vallee and others to take a more active role. By continuing these conversations, researching, sharing data and experiences perhaps we can DIY Disclosure. At the very least, maybe we'll get better at fact checking the narratives that leak out of our governments.
How the Site Currently Works
I will continue to curate the sources, channels and feeds based on quality, originality and perspective. Some resources are great for their storytelling. Some videos are a hodgepodge of dubious amateur recordings. Many of these channels have deep, independent research and perspectives I find fascinating. I will try to provide the tools and features you need to filter out what you're not interested in.
I've automated the categorization of inbound articles and videos with AI. I spend time tinkering with the prompts, so you may find items getting re-categorized from time to time. My hope is to eventually arrive at a consistent, high batting average, but it will never be perfect given the ambiguity of the topics.
